It creates a residual brine that helps keep ice from reforming and refreezing, too. To use, dispense directly from the convenient shaker jug or transfer to your favorite Scotts® spreader.

  • Apply Scotts® ezMelt™ evenly onto the surface to be de-iced, avoid piling and do not over-apply
  • For better results, apply preventatively before or soon after snowfall begins to prevent excessive ice build-up
  • If snow is deeper than 5 cm (2 in) plow or shovel surface before applying product
  • Use when snow or ice is present in temperatures of -1 deg C down to -31 deg C
  • Wait approximately 20 min after applying to give the formula time to loosen the ice, remove melted ice, snow and slush to prevent refreezing
